If you are traveling to RI, you must make a stop on Federal Hill. There are lots of great restaurants for every budget. For a real neighborhood Italian experience Andinos is a must. This is a small restaurant with good homestyle Italian food, friendly waitstaff and some interesting characters at the bar. For a more upscale experience try Siena - a funky hotspot with beautiful people, great food and a bustling atmosphere. In the summer, check out the Federal Hill Courtyard and Venda Ravoli - Venda is not only a fabulous Italian market but has great outdoor dining as well - a limited menu but fresh, delicious food. You'll find that on the weekends there is also entertainment in the courtyard with families and couples sitting alongside the fountain. No matter what you do, save room for dessert at Pastiche. Pastiche is found by walking through the courtyard at Venda and hanging a right at the end (Spruce Street) - there is typically a wait but well worth it. Have fun in Providence!
Nice little romantic spot to have a dinner date and stroll around. Within walking distance to downtown hotels. If you stay in Providence -- don't miss out on this little gem of an area.
